Closed and open storage do different jobs on a coffee table, and this layout gives each its own place. The center drawer, 14.65 inches wide, 13.5 inches deep and 5.98 inches high inside, takes the pieces that clutter a top: remotes, game controllers, coasters. The open shelves at both ends hold what gets reached for daily, books, trays and baskets, visible from either side of the sofa. The arrangement also balances the long front visually, storage at both ends and one clean drawer front in the middle, instead of a row of identical openings.

The table measures 48 inches wide by 26 inches deep at 18 inches tall, a full size center table for a standard three seat sofa with room at each end for the shelves to stay usable. It weighs 36 lb and carries a published weight capacity of 222 lb. It ships in one box via Small Parcel, the carton measuring 15 inches high by 51 inches wide by 29 inches deep at a 38 lb shipping weight, and assembly is the shortest in this group at about 10 minutes in 3 steps. The shaker inspired frame, crown molding, softly rounded edges and tapered legs, keeps the long profile tailored rather than boxy.

Acacia Veneer in Autumn Forest over a Rubberwood Frame

The frame and legs are rubberwood solid wood with acacia veneer; the shelves are engineered wood and the hardware is steel. Autumn Forest is a medium brown NC lacquer with warm undertones, finished matte so the natural wood grain shows through the surface. On a 48 inch top that grain runs the full length of the table, which is what keeps a plain rectangular form from reading flat in the middle of a seating group. The drawer front carries the collection inset panel detail and a metal knob in an antique brass finish.

Full Extension Drawer Hardware and Floor Safe Legs

The center drawer runs on a full extension ball bearing slide, so the back of its 13.5 inch depth is as reachable as the front, and the drawer box uses English dovetail joinery, built for the daily open and close cycle of a coffee table drawer. The legs are fitted with non-marking nylon glides to protect floors and prevent carpet snags. Care is a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth, dried immediately, with coasters under drinks and pads under hot objects, and the table kept out of prolonged direct sunlight. A 1-year limited warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship from the date of delivery.
