The shape explains the name shoppers give this profile: a rounded rectangle top carried on two arched slab legs, so the surface appears to pour down into its supports at each end. At 54 inches long and 30 inches deep, the top runs most of the length of a three seat sofa and leaves a working margin at both ends, while the 18 inch height keeps the surface below the seat line of low, modern seating. The rounded corners soften the long rectangle, which matters on a table this size because every corner sits on a walkway line through the seating group.

There are no legs at the corners and no stretcher underneath, so the floor under the table stays visually open, a calmer base for an open seating plan than a four leg frame of the same footprint. The trade is weight, and it is a deliberate one: at 112 lb, with a published weight capacity of 252 lb, this table anchors a room rather than drifting in it, and its final position is worth choosing before it is set down. It ships in one box via Small Parcel, the carton measuring 23 inches high by 59 inches wide by 8 inches deep at a 112 lb shipping weight, and assembly takes about 15 minutes in 3 steps.

Mahogany and Ash Veneer in a Dark Wire Brushed Finish

The build pairs mahogany solid wood with ash veneer across the whole span, top and slab legs alike, so the material story stays consistent from the surface down to the floor. The Jet finish is an NC lacquer in a dark tone with a wire brushed texture, and the brushing keeps the ash grain in play across the 54 inch run instead of letting the long top read as a flat black slab. Against pale upholstery the table gives the group a dark center line; against dark seating, the grain is what separates it from the pieces around it.

Setting and Caring for a Slab Leg Table

Because the supports are panels at the ends, the table reads best with clear floor on both long sides, where the arched profile is visible, rather than pushed against a wall. For care, wipe the wood surfaces with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth and dry them immediately, use coasters under drinks and pads under hot or abrasive objects, and keep the table out of prolonged direct sunlight to protect the lacquer finish. The table is covered by a 1-year limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship from the date of delivery.
