Ferris White Crypton Dining Chair in Ash

A white dining chair you can actually use

White dining chairs usually come with an unspoken rule: don’t. The Ferris rewrites it. The seat and back are upholstered in Crypton Nomad Snow – a performance fabric engineered specifically against the three things that kill white upholstery: stains, moisture, and odor. Red wine, olive oil, toddler hands – the fabric is built for the realities of a dining room, not a showroom. The 92% polyester, 8% flax/linen weave keeps a soft hand while the Crypton finish does the defending.

What Crypton does that regular fabric can’t

Crypton isn’t a coating sprayed on after the fact – the stain, moisture, and odor resistance is engineered into the fiber itself, so it doesn’t wash out or wear off. Spills bead instead of soaking; odors don’t embed; and the fabric cleans with soap and water rather than a specialist’s visit. Underneath, the chair is honestly built: a warm amber ash frame – wood where you see it, performance fabric where you sit – with S-spring suspension and a 275 lb rating. The armless 20-inch width tucks neatly under the table, and the fixed cushion stays put instead of sliding around.

Frequently asked questions

What is Crypton fabric?
A performance textile with stain, moisture, and odor resistance engineered into the fiber – not a topical treatment. It’s the contract/hospitality standard for a reason.

Will the white really stay white?
That’s the entire point of Crypton. Spills bead up instead of soaking in, and routine cleaning is soap and water. It won’t stay showroom-perfect forever – nothing does – but it stays presentable for years.

Does Crypton feel plasticky?
No – the 8% flax/linen content keeps a natural hand. It feels like upholstery, not vinyl.

How many should I order?
They’re sold individually, so match your table: 4 for a 60-inch, 6 for 72-84 inches, 8 for 96 and up.
