Yosemite Solid Wood Nightstand in Cafe

A factory-style pine nightstand with a pull-out tray

The Yosemite nightstand recreates the improvised, utilitarian look of early 20th century factory furniture in solid pine. Roughhewn planks carry natural saw marks, dents, pits and knots, and the Cafe finish — a dark gray with a low-sheen lacquer — shows the grain clearly while accentuating the rough spots.

Two drawers on full extension ball bearing slides keep bedside storage easy to reach, and the pull-out tray adds surface area when needed — a place to lay a book down flat or set a cup of coffee. As rustic bedroom furniture goes, the Yosemite nightstand is the small piece with the most character: hand-hewn texture, hammered metal pulls and solid wood throughout the fronts, tops and sides.

Best for farmhouse and industrial bedsides: solid pine, dovetail drawers and a pull-out tray in a compact 26-inch case.

What is the pull-out tray for?

The tray provides additional surface area when needed, so you can lay a book down flat, set down a cup of coffee, or use it for breakfast in bed.

How are the nightstand drawers built?

The drawer boxes are sanded and stained solid wood with front and rear English dovetail joinery, riding on full extension ball bearing slides, with a dust cover under the bottom drawer.

Can the nightstand be used without legs?

Yes. It can be used with or without its 3 3/8 inch legs; installing them takes about five minutes, and full assembly is about ten minutes in three steps.
