Salone Sideboard in Black

Parisian arches in reeded glass and black — a 79-inch sideboard

The Salone takes its front from old Parisian doors: a run of arches glazed in tempered reeded glass, so the contents show as shapes and tones rather than clutter. Six doors divide the 79-inch case, with two interior shelves behind them, and the oversized handles and base are solid beech, a pale wood note against the black. It arrives fully assembled at 247 pounds.

Why reeded glass works for dining storage

Reeded glass is the compromise dining storage usually misses: display pieces stay visible enough to enjoy, but the ribbing blurs edges, labels and the general untidiness of real cabinets. The beech handles are scaled up deliberately, giving the long front a rhythm of warm wood grips that also make the doors easy to open with full hands.

Best for dining rooms with Deco or Parisian leanings

Dining rooms with Deco or Parisian leanings, and glass-front shoppers who want display without the pressure of styling every shelf like a shop window.
