Janice 48-Inch Round Concrete Dining Table

Cast, not clad: solid concrete

Most “concrete” furniture is a thin shell over something else. The Janice is cast solid – real concrete, real heft, the kind of permanence that anchors a room rather than decorating it. The lunar texture gives the surface a soft, organic quality that catches light gently instead of glaring, and the pale finish keeps the substantial form airy. At 48 inches round, it’s sculpture you eat dinner on.

Why round wins in tight spaces

Corners are dead space in a dining room – they dictate traffic patterns and punish shins. A 48-inch round table seats four with everyone equally placed, no head-of-table hierarchy, and circulation flows around it instead of bottlenecking at corners. In tighter dining areas and breakfast nooks, round buys you back the inches that a rectangle’s corners would waste. Pair it with upholstered chairs to balance the cool stone, or black metal for sharp modern contrast.

Frequently asked questions

Is it really solid concrete?
Yes – cast solid, not a veneer or shell. That’s the heft and the permanence you’re paying for.

Will it stain?
Concrete is porous, so seal it periodically and wipe spills promptly – especially oil and wine. With basic care it ages gracefully rather than staining.

Is it too heavy to move?
It’s substantial – plan on two people and measure your doorways before delivery day. Once placed, it isn’t going anywhere, which is rather the point.

Does concrete feel cold?
To the touch initially, yes – that’s stone. In a dining context with warm chairs, textiles, and lighting, it reads as calm rather than cold.
