Ditman 80-Inch Grey Sheesham Live Edge Table

The live edge, tamed

Live edge means the wood’s natural edge – the wavy line where the tree met the bark – left visible instead of cut straight. The Ditman’s 80-inch solid sheesham top wears its live edge proudly but not wildly: finished smooth, sealed, and tamed into a farmhouse-industrial piece rather than a rustic slab. You get the organic line and the natural character without the splinters.

Sheesham: the hardwood you should know

Sheesham – Indian rosewood – is one of the densest, most beautifully grained hardwoods in furniture: rich brown tones, natural luster, and hardness that shrugs off daily dining. In grey-washed solid sheesham, the Ditman mutes the red undertones for a weathered, contemporary cast. The black metal sled legs give it industrial contrast and an open, airy stance – iron strength without visual bulk. Six sit comfortably for holidays and everyday alike.

Frequently asked questions

Is the live edge smooth?
Yes – finished and sealed. You get the organic line without roughness or splinters.

What is sheesham wood?
Indian rosewood – a dense, richly grained hardwood prized for furniture. Hard, lustrous, and naturally beautiful.

Will my table match the photos exactly?
In character, not in exact grain – solid sheesham varies naturally, and the live edge is unique to each top. That’s the point.

Are sled legs stable?
Yes – the sled design spreads the load along the floor for excellent stability with an open look.
