Xander Coffee and Black Iron Queen Bed

Ball finials and tapered legs: the classics, done right

The Xander speaks fluent classic furniture: textured black iron with soft tapered legs and rounded ball finials – the details that made traditional iron beds beloved in the first place. But the headboard is tailored, not traditional: Savoy Coffee upholstery (61% polyester, 31% viscose, 8% flax/linen) in an invitingly neutral tone that keeps the iron from going stark. It’s the old vocabulary with a modern accent.

Coffee and black: the palette that goes anywhere

Coffee-and-black is the menswear of bedroom palettes – it moves between classic and contemporary without changing clothes. The Savoy Coffee headboard warms the textured black iron frame; the iron gives the soft upholstery backbone. At 50.5 inches tall, the headboard has presence without dominating. And the engineering is modern throughout: 550 lb capacity, adjustable-base compatible, no box spring required.

Frequently asked questions

What is Savoy Coffee?
Four Hands’ warm coffee-toned upholstery – a rich neutral between brown and taupe that flatters both warm and cool rooms.

Is it adjustable-base compatible?
Yes – the 550-lb-rated frame accepts an adjustable base. Verify your base’s dimensions against the 63-inch width.

Do the ball finials unscrew?
They’re fixed as part of the frame design – no loose parts to tighten or lose.

Will black iron suit a soft bedroom?
Yes – that’s what the coffee headboard is for. The upholstery softens the iron; together they balance.
