Maeve Taupe Petal-Headboard Queen Bed

The headboard that doesn’t stop at the head

Most headboards end where the rails begin; the Maeve’s petal-shaped shelter headboard flows over and into the side rails in one continuous, crafted gesture. There’s no visual seam where headboard becomes bed – it’s a single flowing form, fully upholstered, that makes the whole piece read as designed rather than assembled. At 48.5 inches tall, the proportions stay graceful rather than grand.

Taupe is a decision, not a default

Laken Taupe is the versatile middle – a warm greige (90% polyester, 10% viscose) that complements warm and cool palettes alike, keeping every bedding choice open. It’s the color for people who redecorate: the bed doesn’t dictate the room, it accommodates it. The natural oak veneer at the base adds the warmth that keeps taupe from reading flat, and the contoured curves of the petal shape keep the clean lines from feeling stark.

Frequently asked questions

What is Laken Taupe?
Four Hands’ warm greige upholstery tone – taupe with enough warmth to avoid reading grey, neutral enough to pair with anything.

Does the petal shape suit small rooms?
Yes – at 48.5 inches tall with contoured curves, it’s graceful rather than imposing. The continuous form actually reads calmer than a tall rectangular headboard.

Is taupe hard to match?
That’s its strength – Laken Taupe works with warm and cool palettes, so bedding, rugs, and art all stay in play.

What does the oak veneer add?
Warmth and grounding – the natural wood at the base keeps the fully upholstered form from floating visually.
